Ecokids fundraising collection of unwanted items

By now you should have received a letter via “Schoolcomms” or a hard copy and a bag from your child telling you about Eco kids.  We are delighted that the school has teamed up with the  Textile Recycling Project, to raise funds for the school.    

 is a textile recycling project, designed especially for schools.  We will receive £600/tonne or £0.60/kg and £100/tonne or £0.10/kg for books, which will give a boost to our fundraising (this is greater than the “poster”  price because Wildmoor Heath School has booked at least 2 collections in the year).

This replaces our Bag2School collections. Please fill the bags supplied and your own bags with:

- good quality clean clothes

- soft toys

- net curtains

- pairs of shoes

- bric a brac (small ornamental items)

- handbags

- bed linen

- small, portable electrical items in good working condition

- books (in a separate bag/box please)

The more Ecokids collect, the more money we make!

Ecokids will collect from us on 15th June but filled bags can be brought to school reception from now onwards. Spare bags available in reception though ordinary bin bags can also be used.
