Garden Spring Clean
What an afternoon! Saturday March 20th 2010 – was it the wettest day in March??? – possibly!!!! However, this did not stop the small but very dedicated team of families who came and helped with the school’s garden spring clean. What a brilliant team effort on behalf of the school by approximately 11 adults and 10 children who ignored the damp conditions and worked together to clean up the school car park – did you know there was a lovely flower bed running along the fence?? – you can see it now! The front of school was raked, weeded and leaves dug out of gutter drains. The playground was cleared of leaves as well, particularly along the nature garden side, benches moved and shoe racks swept under.
Finally, we moved to the Foundation Unit Garden where we lost count of the number of brown recycling sacks we filled with leaves! We raked and swept, we pruned and we even put together a play house for the F1 & F2 children to use.
We hope you can see the fruits of all the hard work that was put in on Saturday and enjoy seeing the daffodils come up and flower over the coming weeks.
