Raising money for Sports for Schools

The Sports for Schools event was held on Monday 8th March and was a great success. The children participated in their sponsored activities with great enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoyed the gymnastics display given by Danny Lawrence.

Danny represents Great Britain in gymnastics and hopes to compete in the 2012 Olympics. As well as demonstrating some of his skills, he kindly took the time to answer lots of questions from the children about his training and competing.

We have raised £1268 from the event and this will be split between the school, a children's charity and funding for the GB athletes in 2012.

Well done and thank you for everyone who supported and took part in this event.
