Wildmoor Heath School naming day

This term saw our school being renamed from Broadmoor Primary School to Wildmoor Heath School and Friday 11th September was our official naming day.

In the morning the Mayor and his wife came to our assembly. We sang the Wildmoor Heath song and talked about the new name. The Key Stage 1 children had been for a walk on Wildmoor Heath collecting leaves, berries and nuts on the way and had put them together in a beautiful collage. The Foundation Stage children had painted pictures of their walk too.

The Mayor presented the school with a certificate and met with the Governors, Miss Johns and Mrs Edwards.

In the afternoon Andrew MacKay, MP for Bracknell, came to present Miss Johns with the plaque for the new school name. Waitrose kindly donated cakes for the tea party.
