Wildmoor Heath Parent Teacher Association (WHPTA)

 

Who are we?

We are a group of parents, teachers and support staff who organise events all through the year to raise funds to help improve the school environment and benefit the children

Last year we raised £4.424.55, which was just a little higher than the previous year

 

PTA Meetings

We hold a monthly meeting here at the school, 7pm-8.30pm.

Please come along to any of our meetings and share your ideas.

This will give you a better idea of what we do and how you can help to make a difference.

 

Purchases for 2011

Last year's purchases are listed below and as you can see they range from the relatively inexpensive mundane items to the “big ticket” items such as blackout blinds, picket fence and playground litter bins:

Lunchtime controllers walkie talkies & plastic cups for lunchtime drinks

Gnomes for Year 4 Environmental Science Project in the courtyard

Disco equipment

 Trophy for Sports Day

Soap / Sanitizer, dispensers and labour

FSU climbing frame

Paint for classrooms and cloakrooms

Contributions to various class trips

Plants / bulbs for FU garden & pots

Front flower border creation / supplies

Lunchtime controllers lockable cupboard

F2 / Yr 2 picket fence

Blackout blinds for all classrooms, new & refurbished

Four new litter bins for playground and removal of old ones

Deep clean of school

Christmas 2011 whole school trip to Wellington College Pantomime

Christmas 2011 lunch entertainer, gifts and decorations

 

Plans for 2012

We would like to contribute to 2 main projects this year:

- revamping the school library in its new location

- the school will be leading a fabulous school and community art project

 

How Can You Help?

Giving us a hand with advertising - word of mouth works a treat!!

Behind the scenes help - setting up events, filling rotas, helping at events.

Coming up with ideas for new events or making improvements to existing ones.

Anyone involved with the school can be active in our fundraising and there is a number of ways of doing this.

Any help you can give to support the school, however small, is gratefully received.
