Year 4 have been designing portable lamps in DT.

They had to decide who target audience was, where the lamp would be best suited and what the lamp would be used for.

The children then had to make a simple circuit, including a switch if they wished; some even included motors and propellers for special effects!

This unit further builds upon our recent study of electricity in Science, but with more of a Design and Technology focus.
