Wildmoor Heath Primary School

Ofsted Reports

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am absolutely thrilled and immensely proud to share with you the official report from our recent full Ofsted inspection, which took place on 19th May 2026.

The report is a wonderful reflection of who we are, beautifully agreeing with our school's identity as a "small school with a big heart". I want to express my deepest gratitude to our incredible pupils, our dedicated staff, our governors, and, of course, you - our families – for your unwavering partnership.

What We Are Most Proud Of

The inspectors spent a great deal of time looking at daily life at Wildmoor Heath and their report highlights so many aspects of our school that make us proud every single day:

  • Our Wonderful Pupils: Inspectors noted that warm relationships permeate the school. They observed our pupils playing happily together, showing utmost courtesy and respect to adults and proudly stepping up as pupil kindness ambassadors to celebrate positive actions across our community.

  • Living the 'Wildmoor Way': The report emphasizes how well our children understand and follow our three core rules: 'be safe, be ready, be kind'.

  • Exceptional Reading & Rich Experiences: Our focus on reading has paid off massively, with pupil achievement by the end of Year 6 typically landing above the national average. Inspectors also loved seeing our curriculum come to life, from building resilience while climbing mountains on our Wales residential trip to developing confidence in our Wildwood forest school.

  • An Inclusive Environment: The report warmly highlights our strong culture of inclusion. It notes that every child - including those with SEND and our disadvantaged pupils - is welcomed, valued and supported to successfully access the full curriculum.

  • Outstanding Attendance: Our school community is highly motivated, with overall and persistent absence figures sitting well below national averages because our pupils arrive each day eager to learn.

Looking to the Future

A great school never stands still; we are already focusing on our next steps. The inspectors noted that we have already correctly identified the right priorities for our continuous improvement. We are fully committed to elevating our writing outcomes to match our exceptionally high standards in reading and mathematics, alongside sharpening our internal tracking systems to ensure every intervention we make has the maximum positive impact on your children.

Thank You

Our staff are all wholly proud to work at Wildmoor Heath. However, this report is fundamentally a celebration of a joint effort. Thank you for working alongside us daily and for helping us maintain a school where every child is prepared beautifully for the next stage of their education.
