About the PTA

Wildmoor Heath PTA (Parent Teacher Association)

What is Wildmoor Heath PTA?

Wildmoor Heath PTA is a charity. It is a group of parents, carers and teachers who volunteer their time to raise money for the school. The funds raised are used to improve the experience and facilities for all pupils to enjoy, whilst organising events that provide an opportunity for pupils and their families to come together as a community.

Who can join the PTA?

All parents, carers and teachers are automatically part of the PTA when you join the school!  As such, you are all welcome to our meetings! The PTA meets once month to discuss ideas, plan activities, vote on funding requests from school and any updates relating to the PTA.  Everyone is welcome to join a PTA meeting, please do not worry if it's your first time, we have all been there, and we will be delighted to welcome you. If you would like details of our next meeting, you can email ptawildmoorheath@gmail.com or let your class rep or the school office know. We regularly communicate the dates, times and locations of our meetings out through school newsletters as well.

Who organises the PTA?

Every new school year there is an AGM (Annual General Meeting) for the old committee to stand down and for a new committee to be voted in.

2022/2023 Committee Members:

Chair: Zoe Jokiel (Mum to Mae in Year 2)

Vice Chair: Amelia Field-Maziere (Mum to Ava in Year 2)

Secretary: Charlotte Vaughan (Mum to Oliver in Year 3)

There is a Class Rep in every year, who communicate updates from the PTA via a Facebook or WhatsApp Group for your child’s year group.

If you are not on your child’s year group Facebook or WhatApp, please do contact us on ptawildmoorheath@gmail.com to let us know your child’s name, year group and your name along with your contact details and we will ensure you are added to the relevant group.

Why should I join the PTA?

There are so many reasons to join the PTA, here are just some of them:

  • Helping to raise vital funds for the school.
  • Meeting other parents and getting to know the wider school community.
  • Voting on the school funding requests.
  • Be a part of a successful PTA team, where there is no pressure to take on responsibility – You can do as much or as little as you like.
  • Organising or volunteer fun activities for all Wildmoor Heath families to enjoy.
  • Because your time and skills are just what the PTA need to raise more money for the enjoyment of all children in our community!  We can't do this without you.

How do I get involved?

To get involved with the PTA, it is really easy!

You can either contact us by email ptawildmoorheath@gmail.com, your class rep, attend a PTA meeting or simply let the school office know.

Wildmoor Heath has an incredible school community and the PTA is a great way to get involved.  You do not have to give up a lot of time to help, and a little help goes a long way!
