Wildmoor Heath School

School Admissions

If you are looking for a place for your child in our Reception class for September start, you might like to visit us at an Open Morning, where we can give you information about our school, give you a tour to see the school in action, and you can ask us any questions you might have.

We welcome visits from applicants to view the school and to discuss admission with the Headteacher.  To arrange a school tour please contact the school office on 01344 772034 or email reception@wildmoorheath.org.uk

Admissions

The admissions authority for Wildmoor Heath School is Greenshaw Learning Trust (GLT).

Wildmoor Heath School is part of the Bracknell Forest Council Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme. Applications for admission to Reception after 1st September and for admission into Years 1 to 6 must be made to the Local Authority in which the school is situated using their In-Year Application Form.  If you wish to apply for a place at Wildmoor Heath School, you must name the school as one of your preferences on the application form and return it to Bracknell Forest Council.

Applications for admission into Reception Year or other in-year applications should be made through Bracknell Forest Borough Council. The School Admissions Team can also be contacted on 01344 354023. If there are appropriate spaces, Bracknell Forest will forward the application to the school.

Where there are more applicants than places available, the school will maintain a waiting list according to the oversubscription criteria detailed in the school’s admission arrangements without regard to the date the application was received or when a child’s name was added to the waiting list.

Positions on the waiting lists may go down as well as up.  This is because other children might be added to the waiting list who have a greater priority for a place against the school’s admission criteria; for example, when new families move into the area or when other families who had not previously named Wildmoor Heath School as a preference, ask to go on the waiting list after the initial allocations date.

Below are our admissions arrangements for 2023/24, 2024/25 and the process for appeals.
